100 years of cultural work for Finland

In order to celebrate the foundation's 100th anniversary, we have decided to announce an extraordinary call for projects!

In 2027, the Niilo Helander foundation will give out 1 million euros to projects that benefit a better future for the Finnish society through three different areas - Rule of Law, Bildung and Diversity (as the basis of Finnish culture) and Well-being for young people through culture. The application tour is in two rounds, first we call out for ideas  - the chosen projects will then present a more elaborate plan in Spring 2026. The decisions of the Jubilation year projects will be decided in late 2026 and published in February 2027.

Projects can be between 200 000 euros and 500 000 euros. Organizations and work groups are eligible, not private persons. Applicants do not have to be Finnish citizens but must have some connection to Finland.

All grant applications are to be sent in the electronic system Rimbert!
